Very good. The Moodle site was a little awkward to navigate at the start of the course. However, the format changed half way through which has made it much more user friendly – How would you describe our performance overall?

Hello Jordan
Well done on achieving your certificate. We understand you would have preferred the same assessor throughout but you had completed the first knowledge unit with your original tutor before she finished working with us. Unfortunately the replacement assessor allocated to you had to go on long-term leave but she had not actually started working with you on the practical units. Your second assessor took you through both practical units and guided you on the evidence required. Our IQA system ensures there is consistency so we are happy that any of the assessors we have would have made the same judgements and decisions.

my tutor Crissi has been amazing, i started off with a different tutor and things were a little slow but as she has now gone on leave i can only presume she was unwell which is completely fine, Crissi was absolutely super and deserves tutor of the centaury!! the Moodle was a little odd, it never notified myself or Crissi if either of us had done anything on there so we just got in the habit of sending an email instead. – How would you describe our performance overall?

I would like to say that the process of enrolment to the completion was very easy and any help I needed was contained in the Moodle site. My Assessor was always at the end of the email to advise and was always very fast with replies. The qualification was conducted at my pace, which really helped me during life's busy periods. There is a good range of revision material presented via Power Point and reference to other resource such as web sites, books etc. I found the feedback and support from Judith very encouraging, supportive and constructive. This course has given me additional knowledge and confidence in able to fulfil my role as an EQA. Thank you for your feedback. We are reviewing the tutor's feedback to you to see how this can be improved. Students can call us directly if they need help as we are all qualified across all courses to do so but we are currently looking at ways of ensuring a more responsive learning experience for all students.

Judith McKeon –

I was rather flattered by the tutor's responses to my work, however, I thought the compliments reflected dumbed-down educational standards rather than the quality of my submissions. When I first commenced sending drafts to the tutor, I had forgotten that the assessment would appear on the website, so I don't know what the response time was at that point. Once I began to check for responses on the website, though, I was dismayed by the length of time it took to mark the work. Latterly, the delay was more than two weeks, but the promises to mark work by a specified day - targets that were not delivered- increased the frustration. When I communicated with the office, this problem was dealt with most efficiently and with good grace. – How would you describe our performance overall?

We are glad you felt you were tested in this course and sorry you did not feel the quality of your submissions was adequately acknowledged. Unfortunately, the assessment is based on whether your work meets specified criteria, which are the standards set by the awarding organisation.
As soon as we were aware there was a delay in work being marked, we dealt with it immediately. This was due to unforeseen circumstances but tutors and students have now been asked to inform us directly if work is not marked within 48 hours. We understand it can be frustrating if you have to wait for any feedback and we want all students to have a positive learning experience with us.
